As many of you know, I’m a research geek.

.

In the summer following my second year of university I volunteered in a research lab on campus and never looked back.  While most of my friends were out swilling beer and eating pizza, I was locked in a lab running subjects through protocols, calibrating computers, and reading statistics manuals.  And to top it all off…I enjoyed it.

Yep.  HUGE geek.

.

Since then I’ve done research in one of the world’s leading protein metabolism labs, presented a poster at the World Congress for Biomechanics, and recently submitted the research from my Masters thesis to be published (hopefully) in a major peer reviewed publication.

.

But, of course, that certainly isn’t enough on its own.  I’ve also been training people for 11 years and taking what I’ve learned from research into the real world by implementing cutting edge strategies with my clients.  I’ve also shared my thoughts in writing at T-Nation.com, WannaBeBig.com, StrengthCoach.com, MuscleAndFitness.com, and in print magazines like Muscle & Fitness and Experience Life.

On top of all that, I also provide services to one of Canada’s very few government funded Bariatric Medical Programs for the evidence based treatment of obesity.

In short, I feel like I’ve got a pretty good handle on where research comes from, how to read it, and how to apply it with many different populations with many different goals.  And THAT is why I feel compelled to share with you my methods to acquire, read, and implement research.

    This is the first time I purchased an internet product without even bothering to read any of the marketing crap (With a top-notch product like this and a damn good price to boot too, who needs marketing?!)

    I just hunted for the ‘Add to Cart’ button and clicked it without so much a second thought. I did feel guilty though. At 37 dollars, it really feels like I’m stealing.

    I’ve been waiting for a product like this for sooo damn long. Couldn’t you have launched it earlier?

  2. Thanks Christopher! That is a HUGE compliment. I suppose I could’ve launched it earlier, but people told me nobody would be interested in such a product. :)
